Back to warmer weather before October ends!

Back to warmer weather before October ends!

Today is the 23rd day without any measurable rain, as we only saw a trace in Bridgeport on Tuesday. Other areas have increased anywhere from 0.01 to 0.04 inches.

Skies are clearing today and the sun returns, along with much warmer temperatures over the next few days. We even experienced record-breaking warmth on Thursday, just in time for Halloween. The current temperature records to beat are 77°F set in 1961 on Wednesday and 75°F set in 2004 on Thursday. Halloween will be warm and breezy, so trick-or-treaters won't be wearing heavy jackets this year have to wear over their costumes.

After this short warm-up period, temperatures will drop quickly over the weekend. Don't forget that the clocks go back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday. By then, autumnal temperatures will return, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. But if cool air isn't your thing, don't worry – things are expected to warm up again in the first week of November.
