Winter storms bring rain and snow, valley swings at the end of the week

The unsettled weather continues today and there is a risk of rain and snow. Daily highs will be in the 30s while lows will fall into the 10s. Slippery patches could form in the valleys this evening and early Wednesday.

High pressure will build across the region on Wednesday, leading to drier skies and sunshine. The development of trough inversions will limit warming potential for the end of the week. In locations affected by inversions, daily highs will likely remain in the 30s and 40s. Places outside of the inversion threat, like Bozeman, will see high temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
