Patrick Mahomes' mother sends bold political message in new video from Chiefs game

As the Kansas City Chiefs picked up another win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 4th, Randi Mahomesthe quarterback's mother Patrick MahomesShe was there to cheer him on — but she also decided to deliver a political message ahead of Tuesday's election.

The mother of three wore a red and gold sweatshirt with “Chiefs” written on the front and a red hat that read “Make America Great Again” as she spoke to the public in a new video.

Randi vigorously supported the presidential candidate Donald Trump as she said, “Make America great again, let's do it!” Then she let out a whoop of joy and threw her hands in the air to do a little dance.

The reaction from fans was mixed, with some expressing support for Randi's political message while others criticized her for the action.

“I love it Mama Mahomes!!!!!!” said one supportive fan, while others shared similar encouraging notes. Critics called the move “embarrassing” and “appalling.”

Someone joked: “It might get a little awkward in the Mahomes/Kelce suite tonight. Go Chiefs,” which is probably what he was referring to Travis Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift's public support of the vice president Kamala Harris for the 2024 election.

A fan questioned why Randi was even allowed to wear the political hat at the football stadium, since both fans and players had drawn attention for violating the NFL's policy of not wearing political clothing at football games.

“I thought you weren’t allowed to wear political clothes to games. They threw out some bills the fan threw out for the same thing and want to fix Nick Bosa…I just thought that was a big no from the league,” the fan wrote in response to Randi's news video.

Patrick has not publicly endorsed the presidential election, although his wife has Brittany Mahomesgot in trouble for her recent social media activity.
