Elon Musk's Super PAC prematurely declares Trump the winner

America PAC, the political action committee founded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, declared victory for Donald Trump early Wednesday, although the race was not called by major news outlets.

In a post on Musk's social media platform

The top swing states of North Carolina and Georgia were called for Trump, increasing his chances of victory, and Fox News called Pennsylvania for Trump minutes before the America PAC posted, putting Trump on the verge of having enough votes to win a to claim another term as president.

But votes are still being counted in the Keystone State, as well as in Michigan and Wisconsin, despite expectations that the so-called blue wall that was crucial to Kamala Harris' victory will pass to Trump.

The forecast markets are now already expecting a probability of almost 100% for a Trump victory. And Wall Street is starting to expect Trump to return to the White House, driving up the dollar, Treasury yields and Bitcoin.

Tesla stock is also rallying as Musk has proven to be a big Trump supporter, donating at least $132 million to the Trump campaign as of October 26.

Trump has also promised Musk an appointment to head a government efficiency commission if he is elected. During a speech at a Trump rally in late October, Musk claimed he could cut $2 trillion from the federal budget in this role.

“Your money is being wasted and the Ministry of Government Efficiency will fix that,” he said. “We’re going to get the government off your back and out of your wallet.”
