6:55 a.m. update from November 6th: Voters rejected Washoe County Ballot Question 1, which would have maintained a tax of $0.02 per $100 of assessed valuation for 30 years “for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, or… Equipping, operating and maintaining library facilities for the district”. ”

Reno/Sparks winner

Kathleen Taylor won Ward 1 against challenger Frank Perez, Miguel Martinez won Ward 3 against Denise Myer, Devon Reese defeated Brian Cassidy for the Ward 5 seat and Brandi Anderson won the new Ward 6 seat against Tom Heck.

For the Sparks, Paul Anderson defeated Brad Fitch in Ward 3 and Joe Rodriguez won the Ward 5 seat against incumbent Kris Dahir.

And for the Washoe County School Board, educator Diane Nicolet narrowly defeated challenger Perry Rosenstein for the District G, At Large seat.

Carson City

Lori Bagwell won another term as mayor, while Lisa Schuette defeated Lucia Maloney for the Carson City Supervisor Ward 4 seat. Maurice “Mo” White won the Ward 2 Supervisor seat uncontested.
