Jake Tapper was stunned when Kamala Harris failed to surpass Biden

CNN anchor Jake Tapper is going viral for his stunned reaction early Wednesday when he was told that Vice President Kamala Harris had failed to surpass President Biden's 2020 results in a single state.

Tapper asked CNN chief correspondent John King to create a graphic showing which states Harris received at least 3% more votes than Biden in the last election – only to be given a gray map showing their failure itself reflected in this respect.

“Holy smoke!” Tapper gasped. “Literally nothing?”

“Literally nothing,” King confirmed.

The slide that would have highlighted states where Harris would have outperformed Biden by 3% or more was instead completely gray.

“Literally not a county?” Tapper asked again, still sounding shocked in the footage that has been viewed more than 5 million times in just one clip shared on X.

King then changed the map to show counties instead of states and found that Harris only outperformed Biden by 3% in a meager 58 counties.

“So in counties, in 58 counties,” King said. “We just showed that Donald Trump covers over a thousand counties of the 4,600 counties and townships across America.”

He continued: “Here on the West Coast there may be more, possibly one or two more when the count is finished here, but in the states that matter – I just showed you all the Trump counties – in one County in the battleground. “Pennsylvania, she outperforms President Biden by 3% or more.”

Former President Donald Trump won the election early Wednesday after erasing his 2020 losses in the crucial states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
