After Donald Trump's election victory on Tuesday (or early Wednesday), television viewers were looking for reactions.

Cable news shows, of course, were busy with ongoing election coverage, conducting poll observations and pushing various theories about how Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris.

Additionally, “The View” is the show that aroused the most curiosity among viewers on Wednesday morning. The morning talk show, featuring a group of hosts led by Whoopi Goldberg, has become a popular gathering spot for liberals — and occasionally conservatives. Both Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr. were guests on the show.

When is “The View” on?

In Phoenix, “The View” airs at 10 a.m. on ABC 15. It doesn't air live in Arizona; It is recorded in front of a studio audience.

In addition to Goldberg, co-hosts include Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

While the show is popular with more liberal viewers, it is also often derided by conservatives as being too soft and too partisan. It's also an occasional subject for “Saturday Night Live” sketches.

Not coincidentally, it was also the home of Meghan McCain, a former co-host who is now considered what you might call a disgruntled employee. In the years since she left the show, McCain has criticized her time there, including in an audio book called “Bad Republican.”
