In many countries, when national elected officials choose the middle of the popular vote, it is decided that they will receive the mayoral candidates for a portion of their municipalities, and in the United States the presidential election process will be very different and behave like the Colegio Electoral.

The Electoral College, a process with origins dating back to 1700, appointed an elector each year based on the House of Representatives of Congress – such as the House of Representatives and the Representatives of the Senate. The Cámara de Representantes consists of a group of three mayoral candidates. Each state delegation was given a vote and they had to decide to leave. On the other hand, the senator chose the vice president of two candidates with the mayoral candidate election. Each senator voted for one of the candidates, and with fewer than 51 votes he was elected as the new vice president. In the same form as in the presidential election, the Distrito de Columbia is no longer in the state since it does not come into contact with the delegation of senators and does not participate in the process.

If the Chamber of Deputies elected the President before their protest, the elected Vice President must first summon the President to get out of this situation.

This happened two years ago in history: in 1800, when Thomas Jefferson was elected to the House of Representatives, and in 1824, when John Quincy Adams was elected president in the same year.
