The Golden Knights at the Oilers were the projected goaltenders

Adin Hill (5-2-0, 3.16 GAA, .874 SV%, 1 SO) vs. Stuart Skinner (3-4-1, 3.31 GAA, 0.881 SV%, 1 SO)

Hill stopped 16 of 19 in Saturday's 4-3 OT win. It was his second straight start with fewer than 20 shots. That most likely won't happen against Edmonton. He faced the Oilers twice last season, winning once 3-1 and stopping 30 of 31 shots and losing once 5-1 stopping 20 of 25.

Skinner stopped 29 of 31 in a 4-2 win over Calgary on Sunday. It was the second game in the last three games in which he allowed fewer than three goals. These are also the only two games in which he has allowed two or fewer goals. Last year in three starts against Vegas, he was 2-1-0 with a 2.29 GAA and a .900 SV%.

Tips and predictions for the Golden Knights at the Oilers

forecast

Golden Knights 5, Oilers 3

Money line

This is a split game at its best. Edmonton is 2-4-1 at home and Vegas is 0-3-1 on the road. The only game Vegas won last season was at home.

But I will debunk this. Yes, McDavid's return should give the Oilers a boost. The Knights are a strong team with huge defenders. Edmonton can't keep up with them size-wise, and they're not doing particularly well at home, with goaltending being questionable. The latter makes the difference.

Take this GOLDEN KNIGHTS +125.

Puck Line/Against the Spread

I'll go with you CONNOR MCDAVID OVER 3.5 SHOTS (+125) Here. He just doesn't miss many games and is an expert at hockey. He returns earlier than planned and is obviously ready to play. Additionally, he scored 4, 5, and 5 SOG in his last three games before the injury. In his last game against VGK he had 8 shots. Book it.

Over/Under

The Knights are 10-2 O/U while the Oilers are 3-9-1. The Oilers were much better at suppressing goals. They have not allowed more than three goals in three games and have allowed more than three goals just once in seven games.

Well, they will allow more than 3 Wednesdays. Vegas has not scored fewer than 2 goals in any game this season. Hill is also much more durable than Skinner, and Hill hasn't seen 20 shots in some games. He will be there.

Take this ABOUT 6.5 (-115).
