Southwest adds direct Spokane flights to Chicago and Dallas

Southwest adds direct Spokane flights to Chicago and Dallas

Starting next summer, Southwest Airlines will offer travelers new direct flight options to Chicago and Dallas at Spokane International Airport.

The newly expanded schedule, beginning in June 2025, will add nonstop service from Spokane to Chicago Midway International Airport and also renew seasonal direct flights to Dallas Love Field, according to a news release.

The schedule also includes more daily service from Spokane to Sacramento International Airport, Spokane Airports CEO Larry Krauter said in the release.

“Chicago, Texas and the LA Basin are among the top markets Spokane passengers travel to, and Southwest's strategic decision to expand service significantly increases efficiencies for both Inland Northwest businesses and leisure travelers.” said Krauter in the press release. “In addition, the opportunities for passengers to connect to markets outside of these destinations are significant and add additional value to the service.”

Spokane Airport Board Chairman Ezra Eckhardt, who is also president and CEO of STCU, praised Southwest's moves to expand options for Spokane travelers.

“Southwest Airlines has been an outstanding partner in providing services in response to the many opportunities in Spokane – it was the first airline to introduce nonstop flights to Dallas Love Field, providing passengers easier access to destinations in the Midwest “We are grateful for their continued investment in our airport community with this expanded schedule,” Eckhardt said in the release.

The new schedule includes five flights per week to Chicago. Flights to Dallas will also be added on Saturday and Sunday.

The expanded schedule also includes a daily flight to Sacramento.
