Dodgers free agent Kiké Hernández shares the preference

The Los Angeles Dodgers' group of free agents also includes Kiké Hernández, who is in his second stint with the team and wants to build on the success of winning the World Series in 2024.

Hernández struggled all year but delivered again when the lights were brightest in October. He played in 14 of the Dodgers' 16 postseason games, hitting .294/.357/.451 with two home runs, six RBI and 11 runs scored.

After helping win the World Series for the second time in the last four years and catering to the Dodgers fans in attendance at a local Raising Cane's, Hernández took advantage of the players' favor to ask for help with the re-signing.

“I really hope to be there again next year so we can do it again. So make sure you talk to Friedman and these guys and let them know,” Hernández told the crowd.

As a group, the 2024 Dodgers showed incredible heart throughout October and continued to prove why manager Dave Roberts believed in this team more than any other he has managed.

“It took every single one of us in the locker room to achieve what we achieved. This doesn't work without the device. The one thing that stands out most about our run in October is how close we were,” Hernández said.

“It brings back memories of 2020. That's why we did it in 2020, but in 2020 we were all locked in a hotel for a month. To be together for a whole month this year and to be able to all go home after a game, you can only hope that next year you can get the whole group together again.

“I know there will be a lot of moving things, but one can only hope.”

In addition to Hernández, the Dodgers' full free agent roster includes Walker Buehler, Jack Flaherty, Teoscar Hernández, Joe Kelly, Clayton Kershaw and Blake Treinen.

Daniel Hudson and Kevin Kiermaier were technically in that group as well, but both left after the Dodgers won the World Series.
