While Bruins fans eagerly await Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins to agree to a new contract, they can pass the time by rewatching the 25-year-old goaltender's dominant playoff run on the small screen this fall thanks to Amazon Prime Video.

Both Swayman and fellow Bruin David Pastrnak will appear in “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL,” a six-part documentary series from Box To Box and NHL Productions that premieres Oct. 4.

The series offers exclusive access to some of the NHL's top stars, with video crews following several players and their families during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Each episode offers insight into the players' lives during the playoffs, including miked content on the ice, in the locker room and off the rink.

Both Pastrnak and Swayman will appear in their own episodes.

Pastrnak and Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander are the focus of the first episode, titled “Best of Rivals,” with Boston's first-round clash with the Maple Leafs being the subject of the first episode. Pastrnak and Nylander have been longtime friends since they played on the same junior team in Sweden.

“If we don't win the trophy, it doesn't matter who makes it past the first round,” Pastrnak tells Nylander as the two eat at a restaurant in the newly released trailer for the series.

Swayman appears in Episode 3, titled “Learning to Win,” alongside Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.

You can watch the trailer for “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL” below.

Other NHL stars who will appear in the series include Oilers captain Connor McDavid and forwards Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman, Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel, Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog, Predators forward Filip Forsberg, New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba and Canucks captain Quinn Hughes.

Boston sports were a familiar topic on the small screens in 2024.

“The Dynasty” – produced by Apple TV+ – aired earlier this year and summed up the Patriots’ 20-year run at the top of the NFL (and drew much criticism from fans and former players).

“Starting 5” — a docuseries about Celtics star Jayson Tatum and other top NBA players in the 2023-24 season — will hit Netflix on October 9. Netflix will also release a docuseries about the 2004 Red Sox on October 23 and will release another series in 2025 documenting the Red Sox’s 2024 season.
