Trump touts $100,000 Tourbillon Victory watches

Trump touts 0,000 Tourbillon Victory watches

When I heard the news that several new Trump watches would be coming to market — including a high-end gold and diamond tourbillon version that sells for $100,000 — I wondered if that was fake news. That's not it. In an announcement yesterday and via a video from Trump on this Truth Social platform, the world learned about this latest licensing project.

A company called BestWatchesOnEarthLLC had licensed the Trump name to produce the Swiss-made limited edition Trump Tourbillon Victory watches as well as several “Fight Fight Fight” watches, which sell for $499 to $799 depending on the model (it there are three).

On our store pages, we provide details about the $100,000 Trump Victory watch, such as the weight of the 18-karat gold used in the watch (approximately 200 grams) and the current price of gold (US$85.75). dollars per gram) as well as information on The diamonds that adorn the case (quality 122 VS1), but it is the inside of the watch – the tourbillon escapement – that drives up the price.

Tourbillon watches typically have a very complex mechanism that compensates for the effects of gravity when the watch is in different positions on the wrist. Due to the difficulty of manufacturing and incorporating this escapement into a watch, tourbillon watches typically sell for over $100,000. However, usually is the key word. There are some companies that have developed a more “affordable” tourbillon watch that can sell for less than $25,000 (depending on the brand).

On the website dedicated to purchasing the Trump Victory watch, we were unable to find any details about the movement used. It is just called the TX 07 Tourbillon with a 105 hour power reserve. We have to guess that it's one of those cheaper movements – perhaps one that could potentially be built into a watch like the Delma 1924 Tourbillon, which sells for around $14,000. Combined with the roughly $17,000 for the gold value and a few thousand dollars for the tiny diamonds that adorn the case and lugs (there were no figures on the carat weight of the diamonds), that makes perhaps $40,000 a hefty one Profit for the watch seller.

Interestingly, the website that sells Trump Victory watches states that the watches are not designed, manufactured or distributed by Donal J. Trump or the Trump Organization. TheBestWatchesonEarth, LLC just licensed the Trump name and the website says the watches are “not political and have nothing to do with political campaigns.” It goes on to say that proceeds from the sale of the watches will not go towards the campaign, adding that images on the website “may not be an accurate representation of the product”. Additionally, everything is sold by pre-order and there are no refunds.

The Trump Victory watches shown online are made from either 18k yellow gold (with black or gold dials) or 18k red gold (with rose gold dials). They feature seemingly luminous markers and hands and feature an opening at 6:00 for viewing the constantly rotating tourbillon escapement. According to the website, each watch is signed and numbered on the caseback and only 147 pieces of the Victory Tourbillon will be made. There is also space for an engraving on the caseback (maybe even a Trump saying).

Another model of the Trump watch is also being released. Called the “Fight Fight Fight” watch, this watch is water resistant to 200 meters and is intended more as a sports watch. For $499, one version is made of stainless steel with a red dial, another model is made of two-tone gold-plated stainless steel and steel with a black dial, and the third version is fully gold-plated (0.7 microns of 18k). Gold) with black dial. This one will be produced in a limited edition of just 1,000 pieces and will retail for $799. The Fight Fight Fight watches feature Trump's signature on the dial. These watches don't say “Swiss made” on the dial or caseback, and there's no information on the website about the movement inside, but we're assuming it's a quartz movement.

A master businessman, Trump has licensed his name for decades and even had a line of Donald J. Trump watches in the early 2000s that sold at Macy's for less than $1,000. Back then there were licensed fragrances and more. Recently, however, licensing agreements have included high-end sneakers, coins and even a Bible.
