Joe Locke's Agatha All Along Character Identity: All Clues

Joe Locke's Agatha All Along Character Identity: All Clues

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for the first three episodes of Agatha all the time.

Joe Locke's mysterious gothic film “Teen” in Agatha all the time marks quite a change in the character of his Heart stopper Role of Charlie Spring.

The young British actor also made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut Agatha all the time when the series premiered on September 18th with two episodes. Showrunner Jac Shaeffer has announced an entertaining build-up to find out the true identity of Locke's character.

A variety of theories on the internet mostly point to a specific character in the Marvel comics. Below we will guide you through all the Easter eggs and give tips:

In the first two episodes, it's clear that Teen can't reveal any details about who he is. When Agatha (Hahn) asks Teen his name in Episode 2, he says it, but a seal that appears to be in the shape of a cursive capital letter “M” covers his lips as he says the word. The most popular theory is that Teen is Wanda's son Billy Kaplan, also known as Wicca, and the “M” could stand for “Maximoff.”

His voice also sounds muffled to Agatha in the car when she asks him where he comes from. She can hear the radio quite well, but his voice is completely silent. Also on this car ride, Teen's friend (who could be Teddy Altman from the comics) calls him because “he's worried.” Billy is one of the few openly gay male Marvel characters.

It's important to note that Teen is the one who frees Agatha from the curse Wanda left on Westview, trapping the witch in her false role of nosy neighbor Agnes as she sneaks into the dream world Wanda built . He's an amateur witch and arrived shortly after their big performance of Aubrey Plaza's “Rio Vidal,” which is a little confusing as to which magic in the interrogation room belonged to him or her. The photos of the woman's corpse that Agnes saw in Episode 1 were transformed into flowers and a painting appeared on the mirrored wall.

The trailer:

One big connection that many viewers have pointed out is a particular outfit that Locke wears in a scene in one of the trailers Agatha all the time.

In the comics, Billy has powers very similar to those of his mother Wanda – chaos magic, telepathy and other electrical powers, which viewers got a glimpse of in recent episodes WandaVision.

Episode 3 – “Through many miles/of tricks and trials”

It's only in Episode 3 that Agatha's chaotic circle realizes that “someone has placed a seal on the boy.” The sigil, or magical seal, is in the shape of a cursive capital letter M. Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone) points it out, and it is the first time Teen realizes that he, too, is under the spell.

Who is Mephistopheles?

Another theory is that the seal belongs to Mephisto, which could either solidify the theory that Teen is Billy or set the stage for Teen to be the red demon's son. In the comics, Wanda created her twin sons from two lost souls that Mephisto “lent” to her.

Mephisto is a master manipulator and a big bad in the comics, and he returned to claim the boys' souls when Wanda gave them up, but the souls were so influenced by Wanda that they defeated the demon and were reincarnated elsewhere. Billy became the son of Jeff and Rebbecca Kaplan in New York City and later renamed himself Wiccan after assuming the title of Asgardian for a time. Wicca became a young avenger alongside Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang.

In the third episode, Jenn (Sasheer Zamata) drops the name Mephisto when the coven visits a luxurious beach house for their first trial, which turns out to be against her – the Potions Witch. This does not refer to the identity of the teenager, but rather that of Agatha's son, who – as Jenn tells Teen – was traded by Agatha for the Book of the Damned (The Darkhold). This comes after Jenn warns Teen to beware of Agatha as there are rumors that she traded her own child for the Darkhold, and this was referenced in a previous episode with the words “Another child sacrifice?” taken. in relation to teen.

Agatha Harkness' son Nicholas Scratch grew into a powerful warlock in the comics and became an agent of Mephisto after being banished to Hell, where he agreed to serve the red demon.

“They say no one really knows what happened to him,” says Jennifer. “They say he might be dead. Others say he could be a demon or an agent of Mephisto. But hey, that's what happens when you have Agatha Harkness as your mother. I doubt she would even recognize her own son if he showed up on your doorstep.”

Later, while bonding with Alice (Ali Ahn), Teen confesses, “A lot happened to me when I was 13, too,” which could refer to a few things depending on who he really is.

In Episode 2, the Black Heart, who was on the list of witches Agatha needed to form her coven, arranged for Mrs. Hart aka Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp), who arrived as the missing green witch, to perform the necessary Earth magic . But the reference also brought to mind Rio Vidal's self-described “black heart” that beats for Agatha.

Interestingly, Blackheart is a character from Marvel Comics. In fact, he is the son of Mephisto. From the way Rio Vidal described her own heart, some believe that she may represent the gender-swapped child of Mephisto with a likely connection to Teen, as she appeared in Westview around the time Teen was searching for Wanda. If Rio is Blackheart, it makes sense that she would be looking for Wanda's son.

However, Teen himself could also be Blackheart. As lovable as he is, it's hard to tell if Teen has an ulterior motive when he asks Agatha for advice on the witch's path.

All signs point to Mephisto probably on the way, as in the same trailer as above, where we spot a Billy-esque outfit on Teen, a suspicious, fiery figure that looks a lot like the demon appears at the end.

Baron Mordo

Mordo is also considered in one universe due to his Sorcerer Supreme status, as seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). In the film, which sees Wanda as a villain, Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), as the Sorcerer Supreme in one of the many multiversal dimensions, holds Doctor Strange and America Chavez captive in the Illuminati headquarters. Using the Darkhold to dream into herself in this universe, Wanda killed the four Illuminati – Captain Carter (Haley Atwell), Black Bolt (Anson Mount), Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch), Reed Richards (John Krasinski), and Professor X (Patrick). Stewart) – only Mordo is left to survive.

Mordo is the least likely theory about the Wizard of the Seal, as Teen's shrouded identity will have to give way to the introduction of a character, be it his future Young Avenger self or Mephisto or even the return of Wanda. Mordo's connection to Wanda from their previous encounter could motivate him to want to hide Billy and Tommy from her if she is somehow still alive and looking for them.

There is a deleted scene from Multiverse of Madness where Wanda kills Mordo, so the fact that they decided to leave that out and let him live is an interesting note.
