Frankie Valli dismisses health concerns and concerns about elder abuse

Frankie Valli expresses concern for his health and tells fans that no one is forcing him to perform against his will. Videos of the 90-year-old Four Seasons frontman have gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok in recent weeks because the singer appeared frail and disoriented on stage. The videos caused great concern among Valli's fans. Some wondered whether the singer was forced to perform, while others accused his team of mistreating the elderly.

Valli denied the claims in a statement to People magazine, stressing that no one ever forces him to do anything he doesn't want to. The singer reiterated that he has no plans to stop performing at this point.

“I know there's been a lot of talk about me on the internet lately, so I wanted to clear things up,” Valli said. “I'm blessed to be 90 years old and still doing what I love to do, and as long as I'm able and the audience wants to see me, I'll be out there performing like I always do.” absolutely love what I do. And I know we put on a great show because our fans still come out in droves and the show still rocks.”

“How do we do the show?! The Four Seasons sound has always been about layering vocals and instruments,” he continued. “We use our 60 years of experience to make us sound like the records. I sing, I have singers who sing, great arrangements… everything. I have to laugh when I ask in the comments if anyone is forcing me to go on stage. No one has ever forced me to do anything I didn’t want to do.”

Valli concluded: “I plan on doing shows and delivering the great Four Seasons sound for as long as possible. Like that line in Jersey Boys, I'm like that bunny on TV that just keeps going and going and going. Chasing the music.”

Valli is currently on tour with the Four Seasons, performing hits such as “Sherry,” “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” “Big Girls Don't Cry” and more. His next concert is scheduled for October 11th in Prior Lake, Minnesota, followed by stops in Illinois, Texas and other locations through the end of the month. Valli's tour currently runs until April 2025.
