Takeaways

Ducks: Playing in just its second game of the season, Anaheim appeared to be feeling the effects of the second of back-to-back nights after Saturday's 2-0 win at San Jose. Vegas defeated the Ducks 32-23.

Golden Knights: After allowing Terry to score in the first period, Samsonov appeared to be primed for his Vegas debut when he stymied Trevor Zegras on a breakaway attempt early in the second period.

Key moment

When the Ducks were in the shootout, they were caught with only three capable skaters when Isac Lundestrom lost his stick and failed to collect the puck several times.
