Betting preview for the Los Angeles Angels

In their last series, the Angels faced the Houston Astros. Los Angeles lost the first three games in that set by scores of 3-1, 9-7 and 10-4 before fending off the sweep with a 9-8 win on Sunday. In that final win, LA got two home runs and a whopping six RBIs from SS Zach Neto.

The Angels are sending Jack Kochanowicz as the starter for Tuesday's opening game. In the first nine starts of his career, Kochanowicz has a record of 2-5 and an ERA of 4.56.

Chicago White Sox betting preview

On the White Sox side, their losing streak against the San Diego Padres continued over the weekend. Chicago lost all three games by scores of 3-2, 6-2 and 4-2. The Sox's runs in Sunday's loss came on solo home runs by Miguel Vargas and Korey Lee.

Jonathan Cannon will start for Chicago on Tuesday. This year, Cannon has a record of 4-10 with a 4.61 ERA in the first 21 games (19 starts) of his career.

Prediction for Los Angeles Angels vs Chicago White Sox

I might take a shot at the Sox here. Probably not, though. It's not worth bothering with if you can't find a favorable line, and most places probably won't have one. Cannon is 2-1 in his last three games and hasn't been too bad at pitching, with eight earned runs in 17.2 total innings during that span. As for Kochanowicz, he's 0-2 in his last trio, with eight earned runs in 18.2 total innings. Kochanowicz, however, is coming off 7.0 innings and one earned run against the Sox on Sept. 18.

Chicago has scored just two runs in each of its last three games, so betting on a win is (as always) a big risk. However, if Cannon can keep it up — and if the bullpen and hitters support him — Chicago should be in a good position on Tuesday.
