Real Madrid vs Barcelona player ratings out of 10 from El Clasico

Barcelona remained goalless at half-time Clasico in a 4-0 game on Saturday at the Bernabeu, a building where defeats are rare, but on Saturday there was a big defeat against the beloved Real Madrid.

(REVIEW: Review between Real Madrid and Barcelona 0:4 )

Hansi Flick's half-time substitution helped Barca get past Real on a day when Madrid missed first-half chances when they were offside to save Barcelona's goalline.

Let's see how each player fared over 90 minutes in Madrid.

Real Madrid player ratings out of 10 from El Clasico

Andriy Lunin: 5.5 — Three saves and four goals allowed at 2.82 xG over 90 minutes is no shame, but it won't win you a game. Should have scored Yamal's goal and maybe Raphinha's goal better, but the game was already over.
Ferland Mendy: 4 — If Lewandowski's second goal comes at lunchtime, he won't like Yamal's goal either.
Antonio Rüdiger: 6
Eder Militao: 5
Lucas Vasquez: 4
Eduardo Camavinga: 8 — I'm still waiting for someone else in midfield to come and help him. Won 11 of 13 duels.
Fede Valverde: 5 — Passed at an uncharacteristically poor 67% as the game slipped away from him and his team.
Aurelien Tchouameni (Off 63'): 6 — Madrid pulled him despite leading the game in interceptions, as Modric was seen as a better prospect to get into the attack.
Jude Bellingham: 4 – Played out of position on the right side. The elite Englishman played virtually no role until a missed shot midway through the second half. He usually manages to get on the scoresheet when he's had a long dry spell, but he's never managed to do so on this big stage.
Vinicius Junior: 6 — The smartest player in Real's attack could have scored within five minutes of the opening kick.
Kylian Mbappe: 4 — Was very dangerous but not sharp, in the first half alone he was offside six times as he struggled to sort out Barca's high line and the VAR technology was on the visitors' side.

Subs
Luka Modric (63rd minute): 6.5 — Played whenever he could, but the game never felt in doubt once he got into the fight.
Brahim Diaz (77th minute): N/A
Francisco Garcia (86th minute): N/A

Barcelona player ratings out of 10 from El Clasico

Inaki Pena: 7 — Four saves and eight recoveries without conceding a goal. Pretty good.
Jules Kounde: 7 — Answered Vini Jr.'s challenge with a solid, exuberant performance.
Pau Cubarsi: 7 — Passed with over 90% and made a special sliding stop against Vinicius Jr.
Inigo Martinez: 8 — Six defensive actions, 6 out of 8 in duels and a precise long ball to initiate Raphinha's goal.
Alex Balde: 7
Pedri (Off 89'): 7
Marc Casado (Off 65'): 7.5 — Left the game with a game-high 70 touches, 13 more than anyone else at the time. Assisted Lewandowski's first goal with a cutting pass. Four comebacks and many whistles, a performance that would make Sergio Busquets proud.
Lamine Yamal: 7
Fermin Lopez (Off HT): 5 – Just 19 touches of the ball and one change in midfield at half-time always came after Real had created so much danger behind Barca's outfield players.
Raphinha: 7.5 — One goal, one assist and three chances.
Robert Lewandowski: 8.5 — Two goals with fewer than 40 touches of the ball, plus the 50/50 win that led to Yamal's goal.

Subs
Frenkie de Jong (on HT): 8 – 30 of 31 passes with only 33 ball contacts. One of the cleanest players in the world, and his return to health will be welcomed by Hansi Flick.
Dani Olmo (65'): 7
Gavi (89th minute): N/A
