One week before Election Day, Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris loses. How do we know this? Voter turnout in states like Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina is in favor of Republicans. GOP nominee and former President Donald Trump leads Harris in New Hampshire (a state Joe Biden won by 7 points). Barbershop, Democratic Mayor Eric Adams defends Trump in his deep blue city and much more:

  • Harris has changed her tactics and messaging. She has transformed from a cheerful warrior to a crazy-sounding doomsday prophet, telling voters that Trump, who was Israel's staunchest champion, is the second coming of Hitler. You don't do that unless you lose.
  • You also don't start packing your rallies with celebrities to draw crowds, but the recent event in Houston promoting a performance by Beyoncé backfired massively.

  • The polls have shifted in favor of Trump, not dramatically, but steadily. Prediction markets have also moved toward the former president.

  • Major newspapers have declined to endorse Harris, a surprising departure from past practice.
  • Democratic senators running for re-election in battleground states are running humiliating ads siding with Trump.

Concerned about declining poll numbers, Harris and her surrogates have recently made inflammatory — and yes, dangerous — accusations against Donald Trump, comparing him to Hitler and even suggesting that he will throw his political enemies into internment camps.

But The New York Times reports that Future Forward, Harris' main super PAC, has warned the campaign that its focus on fascism and Trump's character is not working; His popularity ratings in the latest New York Times/Siena poll at least match those of Kamala Harris. Instead, people want to learn about policy.

Ironically, some of this idiotic wrath comes from Hillary Clinton, who has escaped no punishment at all for countless transgressions, including destroying and lying about government-protected communications, recklessly handling classified information, and using campaign funds to orchestrate the Russia hoax, a trumped-up attack , which undermined Trump's presidency from the start.

Trump could have taken action against Clinton on several fronts — including her foundation's highly dubious operations — but chose not to. Unlike Biden's White House, Trump has not used his Justice Department as a weapon against his political enemies.

The irresponsible rhetoric isn't Harris' only new tactic. Like Clinton in 2016, the Democratic nominee parades scores of celebrities — Bruce Springsteen, Magic Johnson, Eminem and others — in the hopes of filling the stands.

But in Texas, fans became angry when a much-hyped performance by Beyoncé resulted in a four-minute talk about abortion rights instead of a concert. People don't like being deceived.

Star power didn't help Clinton in 2016 and doesn't seem to do much for Harris either. The Real Clear Politics shows that Donald Trump is narrowly ahead of Harris in the national poll average, but here's the real news: He has the momentum.

Several major polls show the two candidates tied, while previously Harris was in the lead. For example, a New York Times/Siena poll of 2,516 likely voters shows the candidates in a dead heat; In the same poll earlier this month, Harris was ahead by three.

More importantly, Trump is leading in every swing state.

The betting markets have also moved towards Trump, with the RCP average betting odds showing Trump as the favorite by 24 points (61.8 to 36.9). The forecasts are so distorted (and disappointing for Democrats) that the liberal media is suggesting that these numbers can (and possibly will) be manipulated by just a few big bets.

According to Bloomberg, a French “whale” distorted the numbers on Polymarket, the leading betting site with over $2 billion in trading volume. Using various accounts, the unknown trader has bet $45 million on Trump to win, but is also making a side bet that Taylor Swift will announce she is pregnant before the end of the year. Partisan at work or rich guy letting his instincts control his money? I'll take the latter.

Given Trump's rise, it is perhaps no surprise that the Washington Post announced it would not endorse Harris this year, abandoning its decades-long tradition of supporting Democratic candidates. The shocking decision sent newsrooms into turmoil and caused thousands to cancel their subscriptions.

Rumors are circulating that Jeff Bezos, owner of the Post but also founder of Amazon and the space technology company Blue Origin, feared the business risk of siding with Trump. Whatever the reason, the decision cannot bode well for Harris, especially since it followed a similar decision by the Los Angeles Times, a reliably liberal newspaper in Harris' own state.

Of greater importance to voters is probably the endorsement of unions and other interested parties. Again, Harris is lagging behind, failing to win the Teamsters' traditional Democratic support after internal polls showed 58% of its members planned to vote for Trump. The International Association of Fire Fighters, which endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, also declined to endorse Harris, as did the National Border Patrol Council.

The former president is gaining traction in swing states, but it's still shocking to see incumbent Democratic senators vying for re-election in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on ads touting their connections Trump bragging.

In Pennsylvania, Democrat Bob Casey is running an ad claiming that he “defied the Biden administration” to protect fracking and “sided with Trump to end NAFTA.” Similarly, in Wisconsin, Tammy Baldwin claims in an ad that she “got President Trump to sign her Made in America Act…” As a reminder, both Casey and Baldwin voted to impeach Donald Trump.

If Democrats running for re-election want to hang on to Trump's coattails, you can bet he'll come out on top. Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman recently told a New York Times reporter: “We’re in trouble. And that is undeniable.” That sounds right.
