A search is underway for passengers who fell overboard on a Royal Caribbean Taylor Swift-style cruise

A 66-year-old woman fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean Taylor Swift-style cruise ship in the Bahamas, officials said.

The U.S. Coast Guard assisted the Royal Bahamas Defense Force after it was reported that a passenger from the Allure of the Seas fell overboard around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The ship was about 17 miles from Nassau when the woman fell.

The search team included an HC-144 aircraft crew and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew. The coast guard said the search for the woman continued as of Wednesday morning.

A Royal Caribbean spokesman said an immediate search and rescue operation was launched for the passenger and it was working with local authorities.

“We also support and support the guest’s family during this difficult time,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “To respect the privacy of our guests’ families, we are not releasing any further details.”

A few hundred Swifties left Miami on Monday on the Allure of the Seas as part of a fan-run cruise group aptly named “In My Cruise Era.”

The trip, which is not affiliated with Swift, was hosted by travel agents Jessica Malerman, Nicole Rivera and Shelby Reyes of Marvelous Mouse Travels. According to the group's website, the trio worked with Royal Caribbean to host private events surrounding Swift and her Eras Tour. Events included a welcome cocktail party, karaoke, friendship bracelet exchange, “Taylor Trivia” and “Nightly Period Outfit Themes.”

It is not clear whether the woman who fell overboard was part of the group.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
