A snowstorm drops almost 60 cm of snow in the ski area

The Denver metropolitan area, particularly in the west and south of the city, experienced its first significant snowstorm of the season Sunday through Monday, dropping nearly 2 feet of snow at one of the state's ski resorts.

This blast of cold and snow is the first in a series of wintry storms set to blow across Colorado this week. The Denver area could see a few inches of snow on Wednesday and a rain-snow mix on Thursday and Friday.
