Al Pacino reveals chilling details about his near-death experience – and what he saw after his pulse stopped

Al Pacino revealed horrifying details about his near-death experience while suffering from COVID-19, which saw the famous actor's pulse stop and paramedics desperately work to bring him back to life.

Pacino, 84, recalled to the New York Times Magazine how he was “sitting in my house and I was gone” after falling unconscious at an unknown point while battling COVID-19.

“I had no pulse,” he told the magazine. “Within minutes they were there – the ambulance in front of my house.” “I had like six paramedics in this living room and two doctors, and they were wearing these outfits that looked like they came from outer space or something.”

The Godfather actor had one of his employees get him a nurse after he felt “unusually unwell,” had a fever and was dehydrated when he suddenly lost consciousness.

“I didn't see the white light or anything else.” “There's nothing there,” he said. “I've never thought about it in my life. But you know, actor: It sounds good to say that I died once. What if there's nothing left?'

Despite the frightening experience, the older actor is glad to have his children as “comfort” and his extensive work to maintain his legacy.

However, the 84-year-old does not seem to be afraid of death, as he develops “a different view of death as he gets older.” Just dismiss it as “it just is what it is.”

“I didn't ask for it.” “It just happens, as many things just come,” he told the magazine, before saying he doesn't find discussing death “morbid.”

As for which movie he thinks his youngest child, born in June 2023, should see first? Jack and Jill with Adam Sandler thinks it's “weird.”

“It came at a time in my life when I needed it, because only after I found out I had no money left. My accountant was in jail and I needed something quick. “So I took that,” he said.

Pacino's former financial advisor Kenneth Starr pleaded guilty in 2010 to taking $33 million from his clients to finance his lifestyle. His fraud resulted in the actor owing $188,000 in back taxes to the IRS.

Starr was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for the ordeal.

The Oscar winner has had an extensive career, with award-winning films including Martin Scorsese's The Irishman and Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, but the actor admits he enjoyed the work more when he was younger.

“When I make films, I'm usually not very happy,” he told NYT Magazine. “They can be a hassle, but you can go to your RV and do whatever you want.”

How exactly does an award-winning actor spend his time in his trailer on set? Of course, watch YouTube and TikToks, just like everyone else!

“There are so many things on YouTube,” he said. “I actually like TikTok when I see it.”

He particularly enjoys watching videos about rescue dogs and recently saw a video about a deaf girl regaining her hearing.

“I love this stuff!” he told the magazine.

As for his next role, the actor is gearing up to play Shakespeare's King Lear. Last month he was spotted in Los Angeles wearing royal attire.

He also recently helped celebrate his 30-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah's birthday at a star-studded party.

In an Instagram video from Noor's 30th celebration shared on Thursday, the couple, who welcomed their son Roman in 2023, looked smitten as the Oscar-winning actor helped her blow out the candles on her cake.

Pacino has four children, his other three children are adults.

He shares daughter Julie Marie with ex Jan Tarrant and twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D'Angelo.
