Alex Soros welcomes Tim Walz to his chic New York home

Left-leaning major donor Alex Soros hosted Kamala Harris's running mate Tim Walz in New York City this week – just a month after he befriended influential Democrats at the DNC.

Soros, the 38-year-old son of billionaire Democratic kingmaker George Soros, posted a series of photos of himself and the Minnesota governor in front of the Lower Manhattan skyline on Tuesday.

“It is a great honor to host Vice Presidential candidate @timwalz at my home in New York City,” the investor wrote on Instagram.

The high-profile meeting took place as dozens of politicians and heads of state from the US and around the world gathered in the Big Apple for the United Nations General Assembly.

Soros and his new fiancée Huma Abedin were spotted with Walz at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month.

They also met with other high-ranking Democrats at the event, including former President Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

On the second evening of the convention, he met with former President Barack Obama and former Democratic Party Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Alex Soros is chairman of his family's Open Society Foundations, a $25 billion philanthropic enterprise.

He donated over $720,000 to the Biden Victory Fund in 2020 – and immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris when she entered the race in July.

“It’s time for us all to unite behind Kamala Harris and defeat Donald Trump,” Alex Soros said in a social media post after Biden dropped out.

“She is the best and most qualified candidate we have. Long live the American dream.”
