Analysis of Tom Brady's sad post after ex Gisele Bündchen's pregnancy termination

No matter how famous and rich you are, love hurts.

After a tumultuous separation and eventual divorce in 2022 from his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen after 13 years of marriage, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, who has his sights set on getting shredded at 47, is mostly living life Bachelor life while sharing joint custody of his three children with his two ex-boyfriends Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivian Lake, 11, with Bündchen and his eldest son Jack, 17, with former girlfriend actress Bridget Moynahan.

When news broke today that the 44-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was pregnant with her jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend Joaquim Valente, Fox Sports' No. 1 NFL analyst shared a cryptic Instagram Stories post about a Sunset with lyrics from The Chicks “Landslide” as the title playing in the background with a simple caption of three heart emojis.

“Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?” is the lyric that opens the post: “Can the child in my heart rise / Can I sail through the changing tides of the ocean?”

While it's the Chicks' version of “Landslide,” the original song is a classic by legendary band Fleetwood Mac, written by all-time singer Stevie Nicks about her relationship with her lover and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. So yeah, while there's no way to prove that Brady is referring to her ex-wife's big announcement, it certainly gives off the vibe of a sad ex-husband.

Nicks was in an extremely dark mood when she wrote the song in an astonishing five minutes while living in Aspen with her then-boyfriend Buckingham, who was on tour with the Everly Brothers three months before joining Fleetwood Mac.

Nicks has given many interviews about the immortal song, telling Performing Songwriter magazine in 2003, “I got to the point where I thought, 'I'm not happy.'” I'm tired. But I don't know if we can do better. If no one likes this, what do we do?'”

The singer also said, “I looked out at the Rocky Mountains and thought about the avalanche of everything that had come upon us…at that moment my life really felt like a landslide in many ways.”

Perhaps the sunset with these profound lyrics is a sign that Brady is realizing that his relationship with his former partner is indeed over. It's fun to speculate, and considering how many years the couple spent together, it's completely understandable that the New England Patriots icon is a little gloomy.

Maybe he should ask his old coach Bill Belichick for a little relationship advice. Or maybe not.
