Ariana Grande portrays Celion Dion on “SNL” – NBC 6 South Florida

One pop icon portrayed another on “SNL” last week.

Ariana Grande, who hosted “Saturday Night Live” last week, appeared in a skit in which she shared her impression of Celine Dion, who recently appeared in a surprise commercial for Sunday Night Football.

However, the “SNL” sketch went a step further and had the “My Heart Will Go On” singer do a promo for UFC titled “It's All Coming Back To Me Now.”

“But football is not the only sport that connects us to our past,” said Grande like Dion. “No, there is another sport whose timeless emotions evoke the bittersweet memories that live in my soul. And in the octagon.”

In the sketch, Grande sings as Dion while recalling some moments from UFC history.

“It’s all coming back, now it’s all coming back to me,” sang Grande as Dion. “There were broken bones and knees up to the balls.”

The skit continues to recall moments from UFC history and even mentions the sport's announcers, who are “all bald.”

“And in the shiniest shirts,” Grande added as Dion.

Grande, who will star in the upcoming film Wicked, was a musical guest alongside Stevie Nicks.

This week's episode also featured this season's star-studded campaign cast, with impressions of former President Donald Trump, played by cast member James Austin Johnson, and Vice President Kamala Harris, played by Maya Rudolph, going head to head on “Family Feud.” .
