Ballon d'Or 2024 awards: Rodri wins the men's award, Bonmati takes the Ballon d'Or Feminine

Here is the list of awards presented at France Football Ballon d'Or Ceremony on Monday.

Rodri wins first Ballon d'Or

A Premier League player won Ballon d'Or As the best men's player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo won for Manchester United for the first time in 2008.

That man is Spanish midfielder Rodri, who beats a trio of Real Madrid stars to victory. Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham did not attend the awards ceremony as the club reportedly boycotted due to Vini Junior not winning the awards ceremony. Really lost El Clasico 4-0 against Barcelona this weekend at home.

The Manchester City star won the Premier League and then led Spain to the EURO 2024 title. He is the first City player to receive the honor. Kevin De Bruyne finished third behind Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane in 2022, and Erling Haaland came second behind Lionel Messi last year.

Haaland finished fifth this season, Phil Foden was 11th and Ruben Dias was 23rd.

Aitana Bonmati wins Ballon d'Or Feminine (again)

The four finalists were three Barcelona players – Aitana Bonmati, Caroline Graham Hansen and Salma Paralluelo – and Sophia Smith of the USWNT.

The victory goes to Aitana Bonmati for the second time in a row.

Barcelona players have won four times in a row Ballons d'Or Feminine after Ada Hegerberg and Megan Rapinoe won the first two in 2018 and 2019.

Emma Hayes and Carlo Ancelotti win top coach awards

Carlo Ancelotti won the inaugural Johan Cruyff Trophy as the world's best men's coach, as Real Madrid are reportedly boycotting the awards due to expectations that Vinicius Junior will not win them (Real have three of the four remaining finalists).

USWNT boss Emma Hayes won the first ever Ballon d'Or Award for the best women's coach.

Emiliano Martinez wins another Yashin Trophy as the best goalkeeper

There is a repeat for the Yashin Trophy as Emiliano Martinez makes it two in a row.

The Aston Villa Argentine star beats Gianluigi Donnarumma, Andriy Lunin, Mike Maignan and Unai Simon.

Lamine Yamal wins the 2024 Kopa Trophy as the best men's U21 player

No wonder, as Yamal is the first player under the age of 18 to receive this award.

The 17-year-old Barcelona star helped lead Spain to the European Championship title, surpassing his club and country teammate Pau Cubarsi as well as some big names.

Arda Guler came second in the voting ahead of Man United's Kobbie Mainoo, Man City's Savinho and Cubarsi.

Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho was also among the finalists, as were Salzburg's Karim Konate, Benfica's Joao Neves, Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel and PSG's Warren Zaire-Emery.
