Bills leave Jaguars in the dust thanks to Josh Allen's 4 touchdown passes

The Buffalo Bills pressed the accelerator from the start of their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night and hardly let up as the game went on.

Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers in the first half and running back James Cook ran for another as Buffalo crushed Jacksonville 47-10.

Allen was as sharp as a quarterback can be and made it look easy against a weak Jaguars defense that couldn't really pressure him. Allen completed 23 of 30 passes for 263 passing yards, helping the Bills to a 3-0 record to start the season. He also had 44 rushing yards.

Cook managed 39 yards on the ground on 11 attempts. Ray Davis scored the first touchdown of his career with 4:04 minutes left in the game.

The Bills chased Trevor Lawrence relentlessly all night. Buffalo got to him four times and he threw a terrible interception to Damar Hamlin in the second quarter. It was the first interception of Hamlin's career.

Lawrence came out of the Jags' first half with a touchdown. But after that, there were hardly any attacks. He threw 21 of 38 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown pass to Brenton Strange. He was replaced by Mac Jones before the end of the game.

AJ Epenesa, Von Miller, Casey Toohill, Ja'Marcus Ingram and Javon Soloman each recorded sacks against the Jaguars quarterbacks.

The Bills are starting a season 3-0 for the first time since 2020. That year they reached the conference championship but then lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
