Broncos RB Tyler Badie has full mobility in his arms and legs after suffering a horrific back injury in the game against the Jets

Broncos running back Tyler Badie, who was carted off the field Sunday after suffering a back injury, has full movement in his arms and legs and is back in Denver with the team, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, according to a source.

Badie was injured late in the first quarter after taking a hard hit on his team from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, which sent the Broncos RB stumbling. Badie's twisting body landed awkwardly and he was unable to support his own weight, causing his head and neck to hit the turf hard.

After the game he managed to leave the field, but when it became clear that Badie needed medical attention, there was a frightening situation on the sidelines.

Broncos staff cared for Badie and secured his neck and head to a backboard. He was carted off the field and ejected from the game shortly afterwards.

In the Broncos' 10-9 win over the Jets, Badie had one rush for zero yards and two receptions for -4 yards.

Rapoport reported Badie's back injury could put him on injured reserve, but the 24-year-old has a chance to return this season.

A sixth-round pick by the Ravens in 2022, Badie was elevated to the Broncos' active roster from the practice squad before Sunday after a 70-yard game against the Buccaneers in Week 3.
