In Liga MX, America and Pachuca meet quite often in the finals of the tournament. Still, the matchweek 16 clash will only be significant for America as they are the only team still alive in the tournament. However, it is not yet known whether this game will be played at the Ciudad de los Deportes stadium. Therefore, both teams must show great adaptability, no matter where the game takes place.

On the one hand, America has already found the level that its head coach André Jardine has been looking for since the beginning of the season. Most of this increase is due to the return of most injured players to the sport. The availability of Zendejas, Martin and Valdes therefore makes a notorious difference for this team, which has not lost any of its last five games in a row.
