Clairo continues his hat-trick in Brighton

The Roadrunner people felt it last night CharmedWe are sure of that after witnessing it Claire Begin a trio of headlining performances at the Brighton venue.

The Carlisle alt-pop artist (born Claire Cottrill) is currently going through a year of releasing her third LP charma performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonand multiple Boston Music Awards nominations, including a coveted “Artist of the Year” award. Their three appearances at Roadrunner add another highlight to their already crowded roster as one of Massachusetts' breakout acts in recent years, expanding a domain in the alt-pop realm first highlighted by the dreamy, lo-fi quality of “Flaming.” Hot” staked was Cheetos.”

charm represents a departure from the futuristic sound that first captivated us (think: Diary 001), but it still shines with Clairo's gentle openness, summoning a 1970s-inspired sonic palette to deliver lounge-ready tracks like “Terrapin” and “Juna.”
