BRIAN DABOLL: Tough game. Competitive game. In the end we just didn't make enough plays to get the result we wanted. I gave up some big plays there just before the second minute (warning) and at the end of the half. These are game-changing plays we need to make.

Q: On these third down plays, they have the long passes out there. Is it because of the technology or is it just exaggerated reporting? What did you think of it?

BRIAN DABOLL: I won't go into the details, but we didn't end up doing it. So that's the hard part. These are some great plays. But don't apologize, they made them and we didn't.

Q: What did you tell your team at this point in the season at 2-7?

BRIAN DABOLL: Well, I was just talking about this game. We had chances that we didn't take and that's why we got the results we did.

Q: The first half was unusual, you ran very well. At times you seemed very hesitant about (quarterback) Daniel Jones throwing the ball. Is that…

BRIAN DABOLL: No, we were productive when we passed the ball. (We had) about seven yards per carry, so we kept going like that. We had the one touchdown on a play-action pass on the goal line. We threw two screens. But we were productive in moving the football. We turned the ball over on one screen. So that was part of the plan. I thought the guys did a good job of being physical on the offensive line and controlling the offensive line. That was the reason.

Q: Despite all that, it was only seven points… They were 14 points behind.

BRIAN DABOLL: We gave up that one (touchdown) driving down and then we had a punt. I think we punted.

Q: What was your opinion on the Slayton (wide receiver Darius) pass interference call?

BRIAN DABOLL: I don't know, you'd have to ask the officials.

Q: What did they (the officials) tell you?

BRIAN DABOLL: It was a penalty.

Q: How well you ran the ball, did you have any regrets about calling a pass there when you had a chunk run, a chunk run, a chunk run and finally a turnover on the pass play?

BRIAN DABOLL: No, it was a screen. We had a huge game, but they turned it into a game. It would have been a pretty good piece.

Q: With the two-point (conversation) trials, is this a matter of analysis?

BRIAN DABOLL: We'll talk about that throughout the week. If we get into this situation, this is what we will do. But it is based on analysis.

Q: You guys weren't very successful with those two-point plays. When does this replace the…?

BRIAN DABOLL: I felt good about what we had and they did a good job of stopping it.

Q: You had the three timeouts there. Why not use the timeout on the front of the two-minute warning?

BRIAN DABOLL: There was 42 seconds (remaining) so they had to snap the ball. Then we would rescue her. If it had been under a certain amount we would have used it. If the value when the ball hit was above a certain value, we didn't use it and let it go.

Q: Considering you didn't really throw the ball down the field in the first half, I know you were productive, but it only scores seven points, right? The thought is, “Hey, that shows a certain lack of confidence in your quarterback to make big plays on the field in that regard…”

BRIAN DABOLL: We traveled an average of seven meters with the ball. We felt comfortable. That was the plan that came into play. We wanted to run the ball and control the attack line. It has nothing to do with whether Daniel (Jones) throws it or not.

Q: Why do you think the pass rush didn't hit the mark today?

BRIAN DABOLL: I don't think we… We didn't have any sacks, right? We didn't have any bags. We had no fluctuations. So not good enough.

Q: What happened to (kicker) Greg (Joseph)?

BRIAN DABOLL: He was injured.

Q: There have been a lot of kickers injured in training recently. Is there anything you can do to find out why this keeps happening?
