Cold start for the second morning in a row; Warming trend next week

A Frost warning applies to the entire region until 9:00 a.m Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, PrebleAnd labyrinth Counties in Ohio.

It also applies to Randolph, UnionAnd Wayne Counties in Indiana.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Ryan Marando reports the latest on when we might see a warming trend starting at 4:25 this morning on News Center 7 Daybreak

Clearer skies and lighter winds should bring parts of the area closer to freezing or below, according to Marando.

When we reach 32 degrees, Dayton will experience its first official frost, usually around October 22nd. Most remote areas reach 32 degrees or less.

After a cold start, highs could reach the low 60s later in the day, Marando said.

There is a renewed risk of night frost.

After a nice weekend, we will see warmer temperatures next week, says Marando.
