Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will miss Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Late in the first quarter, Richardson suffered a hit in the red zone that left him holding his left hip. He initially only left the game for a few games. On his first play on the field, he took another hit on a quarterback run and was slow to get back up. The second-year quarterback went to the locker room after leaving the game following a second hard hit.

Indianapolis has already listed Richardson's return as questionable due to a hip injury.

The gunslinger was unlucky with injuries in the early games of his NFL career. During his rookie season in 2023, Richardson suffered a concussion in Week 2 and a season-ending ACL sprain in Week 5.

Update on Anthony Richardson's injury

Richardson went to the locker room in the first quarter against the Steelers after taking a hit on a quarterback run. The exit came two games after a temporary exit following a hit three games earlier that left the second-year gunslinger clutching his hip.

The Colts considered Richardson's return questionable because of a hip injury.

At the start of the second quarter, Richardson was back on the Colts sideline, running and testing his hip, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. Backup quarterback Joe Flacco continues to play for Indianapolis.
