Anthony Richardson left Sunday's game twice on the same drive. And he won't return to the game.

Richardson, who left early in three of his four games with the Indianapolis Colts last season, was sidelined with another injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He briefly left the game during a drive after being hit at the end of a run when he went to the ground and grabbed him by the waist, and was replaced by Joe Flacco. Later in the drive, Richardson was back and tried to run left. His leg seemed to give way and he slid down awkwardly.

Richardson limped a little and then came out again. He went straight back to the locker room with the athletic training team and was later ruled out of action for Sunday.

Flacco came back and threw a touchdown straight to Josh Downs. The Colts said Richardson has a hip injury.

That wasn't good news for the Colts, whose focus all season has been keeping Richardson healthy. Richardson had struggled through three games but had at least stayed healthy. That changed on Sunday, bringing back bad memories of his injuries last season and all the talk about his offseason durability.
