Drew Allar injury: Penn State quarterback goes to locker room early against Wisconsin

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar went to the locker room about a minute early, before halftime against the game Wisconsin on Saturday due to an apparent injury. Allar was limping after the final play of the Nittany Lions offense and was later seen gingerly walking away from the field.

It is currently unclear whether the injury is serious and whether Allar will be out in the future as a result. Penn State currently holds a 10-7 lead over the Badgers and is hoping to make the most of its situation heading into the second half.

Allar completed a solid 14 of 18 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown in the first half. He connected with running back Nick Singletonwho secured the Nittany Lions' only score of the game with one hand.

This season, Allar had 1,492 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions in Saturday night's contest.

Drew Allar injury update: QB will not start in second half vs. Wisconsin

Ultimately, Allar did not make the starting line-up in the second half. The quarterback came out of halftime with a brace on his left knee, trying to warm up and stay in the game.

Ultimately, however, he was unable to find a replacement Beau Pribula led the offense early in the third quarter.

Pribula has appeared in five games so far this season, completing 7 of 10 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns to one interception. He also sprinted an additional 105 yards and scored a score.

Now the Nittany Lions will rely on the redshirt sophomore to take the lead in what is still a very close game early in the second half. Penn State has a perfect 6-0 record this year and will need to continue piling up wins to stay in the race for its first Big Ten title since 2016.

Pribula has done well so far, and Penn State has a 21-13 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
