Eagles vs. Browns Week 6 Game Preview and Predictions

I'm picking Philadelphia Eagles 0-4 games this year, so maybe my confidence is misplaced.

But I really feel like the Birds are going to beat the Cleveland Browns today.

If I'm wrong and they lose, I won't regret predicting a win. There is every reason why they SHOULD win this game. I realize that a lot of things are not necessarily a guarantee will take it off.

But there are so many factors in Philly's favor. The Eagles are healthy with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson all returning. The Browns are clearly struggling.

Deshaun Watson looked terrible. I know there are people who are expecting him to suddenly look like his Houston Texans version again against this Eagles defense. It's hard to necessarily trust Vic Fangio's side of the ball, I understand that. His unit has performed well in four attempts so far. However, there is hope that the veteran defensive coordinator makes some adjustments following the bye. Watson also has the fifth slowest average throwing time this year. There's a chance the Eagles' pass rush could finally get something going against an injured Browns offensive line.

I was going to say it was a now or never game because of the pass rush, but that sentiment really applies to Nick Sirianni and the entire team. If they can't beat this time at this point…who can they beat?

If there was ever a time for Jalen Hurts to stop giving the ball away, it's overdue. But now it would be as good as ever since he wouldn't have to be the Eagles' hero to win this game. If he can simply avoid the big mistakes, that should probably be enough to beat an inferior opponent.

Of course, narrowly escaping the Browns wouldn't do much to improve the Eagles' spirits. They could really afford to come out of the gate strong in this game and beat the Browns handily. Here too it should be possible for you.

Let's see if they can deliver.
