Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich: Lineups, team news, injury updates and more!

After a draw and a defeat in his last two games, Vincent Kompany is now suddenly under pressure. Bayern Munich are not a team that tolerates losing points and a failure against Frankfurt will raise many unpleasant questions shortly before an international break.

To make matters worse, Jamal Musiala is officially out with a hip injury and there is no one in the team who can fill his role as the main attacking midfielder. Well, there's this one guy, but he's way too old and hasn't started a game since August. Surely Kompany couldn't be that desperate?

Team news

Apart from Musiala, it's mostly good news. Hiroki Ito is training individually again, but Sacha Boey and Josip Stanišić remain injured. Two-thirds of this trio could be back after the international break, but Kompany will have to deal with his absences (for now).

So what kind of lineup are we expecting? Assuming Kompany continues to ignore You Know Who, we may see a continuation of the four-man attacking formation that started against Aston Villa. That means Harry Kane is up front, Michael Olise behind him and Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry on the wings.

Aleksandar Pavlović and Joshua Kimmich are expected to continue in midfield, while Raphaël Guerreiro is likely to replace Konrad Laimer at right-back. The rest of the eleven remains unchanged – don't expect Vincent Kompany to make any major tactical changes at this stage.
