Events will take place around Las Vegas on the 7th anniversary of October 1st

October 1 marks seven years since the tragedy struck the Las Vegas Valley, and numerous events are taking place to remember the victims.

OCTOBER 1 SUNRISE CEREMONY

The day begins with a sunrise ceremony Oct. 1 at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater in downtown Las Vegas at 7:30 a.m

The event is open to the public and will feature live music from members of the Las Vegas-based country ensemble Thrillbilly Deluxe, the Southern Nevada Multiagency Honor Guard and a moment of silence for those who died on October 1, 2017.

Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs as there is limited seating available.

VGK OCTOBER 1ST MEMORIAL BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN

The Vegas Golden Knights will also host their annual Memorial Blood Drive on October 1 to honor first responders, victims and generous blood donors from the Las Vegas area.

Select members of the Golden Knights organization, including team broadcasters and VGK Cast, will be on hand during the day to donate blood, greet fans and support those affected by the October 1 tragedy.

The ride will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot north of the City National Arena. Parking is available in the Las Vegas Ballpark parking lot east of the City National Arena.

Additionally, the team will host Las Vegas area first responders for a special training session and meet-and-greet to thank them for their service to the community and celebrate the anniversary.

The Golden Knights have a preseason away game at Colorado on Tuesday night, but non-traveling players will practice Tuesday morning.

Unloaded 6 event

At noon, Unburdened 6 will host a gathering for honorary veterans, first responders and attendees of the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival at Canyon Ridge Christian Church in honor of the anniversary.

Organizers say the event is intended to be a tribute to those who have experienced trauma and marks the inaugural event of Unburdened 6 – a new local organization dedicated to helping and supporting these individuals.

FUENTE DE VIDA EVENT

Fuente de Vida will host a healing event Tuesday with Latino bereaved families, survivors, first responders and members of the affected community.

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the United Way of Southern Nevada and will feature personal remarks from Senator Jacky Rosen.

COMMUNITY SACRED GARDEN MEMORIAL CEREMONY

A memorial ceremony at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden is scheduled to take place Tuesday at 10:05 p.m., concluding events throughout the valley.

The ceremony will include the reading of the names of the 58 victims who died the night of the shooting, Abell will ring the bell, and a candle will be lit in memory of each person we lost as a result of the attack at the Route 91 Harvest Festival Concert .

A livestream of the ceremony will be available on the city's websiteFacebookAnd X Pages and on-line.

It will also be broadcast live on KCLV-Channel 2, the city's state television station.

The Las Vegas Community Healing Garden is located at 1015 S. Casino Center Blvd., near Charleston Blvd.
