FanDuel games and strategy for Monday, October 28th

There are eight games scheduled for Monday, including four in the 7:00-7:30 p.m. ET time slot, two starting at 9:00 p.m. ET and two starting at 10:00 p.m. ET. All lines and odds used below are courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

SLATE PREVIEW

Utah (vs. San Jose), Edmonton (in Columbus), Colorado (vs. Chicago) and Vegas (vs. Calgary) are the biggest moneyline favorites. The over/under for the Oilers-Blue Jackets, Predators-Lightning, Blackhawks-Avalanche and Flames-Golden Knights is 6.5 goals. The other four matches have a score of 6.0 goals.

GOALKEEPER

Sergei BobrovskyFLA at BUF ($7,900): Bobrovsky had a 24-save performance in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. He won four of his seven starts this season. Bobrovsky was outstanding against Buffalo in his career, posting a 15-7-2 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .915 save percentage. He won both games against the Sabers last season, stopping 55 of 59 shots.

Andrei VasilevskiyTBL vs NSH ($7,600): Vasilevskiy ended his three-game losing streak with a 32-save shutout win against Washington on Saturday. After opening the 2024-25 season with a three-game winning streak, he could be on a roll again. Vasilevskiy has a record of 8-3-1 with a 2.38 GAA and .915 save percentage in 13 appearances against Nashville. He could make a lot of saves on Monday as the Predators lead the league with 35.8 shots per game during the 2024-25 season.

VALUE GAMES/ONE-OFF GAMES

Nathan MacKinnonCOL vs CHI ($9,700): MacKinnon is the most expensive player on the list, but he could be worth the salary investment. During his nine-game point streak, he recorded four goals, 11 assists and 35 shots on goal. MacKinnon was dominant against Chicago in his career, scoring 15 goals on 152 shots and adding 152 shots. He had four tallies, four assists and 19 shots in four appearances against the Blackhawks last season.

Leon DraisaitlEDM at CBJ ($8,100): Draisaitl collected five goals, four assists and 21 shots during his six-game point streak. He has scored seven goals and 18 points in 16 previous meetings against Columbus.

Sam BennettFLA at BUF ($7,500): Bennett has found the back of the net in four straight games. He added one assist and 14 shots during that stretch. Bennett scored a goal on three shots in a 5-2 loss to the Sabers on Oct. 12.

Brandon HailTBL vs NSH ($6,900): Hagel has been on the scoresheet in six of his last seven games, recording six goals, four assists and 16 shots on goal during that span.

Jason SugarBUF vs FLA ($4,400): Sugar is good value for money on Monday evenings. He has a goal, five assists and seven shots in his last six appearances. Zucker was kept off the scoresheet just once in that span.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Hockey Club vs Sharks

Clayton Keller (W – $7,900), Nick Schmaltz (W – $6,100), Barrett Hayton (C – $5,500)

Keller scored his fifth goal of the season in the 3-2 loss to Los Angeles on Saturday. Schmaltz contributed eight helpers and 19 shots in nine contests in 2024-25. Hayton has scored four goals and six points in nine appearances this year, although he has played four straight games without a goal.

Utah's top line could be a hugely valuable game on Monday against the winless Sharks (0-7-2). San Jose has allowed the fourth-most shots per game (33.9) and the second-most goals per game (4.22) this season.

Golden Knights vs. Flames

Mark Stone (W – $8,700), Jack Eichel (C – $9,100), Ivan Barbashev (W – $6,800)

Stone has scored four goals and 13 assists in nine games this season, including two tallies and six assists during his three-game points streak. Eichel also consistently excelled on the scoresheet, scoring three goals and 15 points in nine games. He has one goal and four assists in his three-game point streak. Barbashev has seven markers and 12 points in nine contests, including three goals on nine shots and one assist during his three-game point streak.

Vegas' top class is in full swing. The trio should stay hot on Monday against Calgary. The Flames have lost two straight while maintaining a 9-5 lead.

DEFENDER

Evan BouchardEDM at CBJ ($7,100): Bouchard recorded two goals and three assists during his three-game point streak. He also had nine shots and 10 blocked shots during that span.

Alex PietrangeloVGK vs CGY ($5,900): Pietrangelo has delivered multi-point performances in three straight games. He has eight assists, six shots and six blocks during that stretch.
