Fantasy football starting and sit-em lineup tips

Javonte Williams (RB)

The New Orleans Saints' run defense is starting to crumble, which could allow Williams to field his best rushing line of the season. Williams is the RB37 in fantasy this season, and unfortunately he hasn't looked much better this season than he did last year. He averaged 13.1 touches and totaled 59.3 yards. Among the 61 qualifying backs, Williams ranks 39th in explosive rush rate and 42nd in yards after contact per attempt. New Orleans allowed backs to run all over them, which had the 13th highest rate of explosive runs and rushing yards per game, the sixth highest rushing success rate and the third highest rate of missed tackles.

Courtland Sutton (WR)

Sutton is the WR45 in fantasy points per game, posting a 23.2% target percentage, 43.2% air yard percentage and 32.8% first read percentage. He posted a YPRR of 1.53 and ranked third in the NFL in red zone targets. This week’s matchup is an upgrade for Sutton. New Orleans has allowed the fifth-most yards per game to perimeter wide receivers. Sutton will run about 85% of his routes against Marshon Lattimore (54.5% catch rate and 71.8 passer rating) and Paulson Adebo (60% catch rate and 67.7 passer rating).

Juwan Johnson (TE)

With all of the injuries to the Saints' pass-catching depth, Johnson could see an increased role in Week 7. He has been more involved in the offense since Week 4, with a 9.9% target percentage, a 1.11 YPRR, and a 10.4% YPRR first read percentage. Johnson has just one target in the red zone this season. Denver was an average matchup for tight ends. The Broncos rank 15th in receiving yards and fantasy points per game at the tight end position.
