Gladiator II fans rave about the sequel's augmented reality popcorn bucket: “Where do I buy that?!”

Gladiator II fans rave about the sequel's augmented reality popcorn bucket: “Where do I buy that?!”

Following the trend of Dune: Part II, Gladiator II continues Deadpool & Wolverine and will have an epic new popcorn bucket that will drive fans crazy.

The Dune II popcorn bucket was modeled after one of the film's giant sandworms… although it went viral for resembling a sex toy.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman continued the fun with their Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket, which featured Wolverine with his mouth wide open, which also drew comparisons to sex toys.

However, this new Gladiator II bucket (via Fandango) won't have any X-rated connotations, although it does feature some intriguing new technology.

After fans eat all of the popcorn inside, they can take advantage of new augmented reality (AR) technology that reveals a gladiator fight in the actual bucket.

Fandango posted the first two images of the bucket on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that the bucket is shaped like the gladiator arena in the film.

“Enter the AR-ena Popcorn Bucket,” the caption carries, a reference to the AR technology used.

The second image offers a glimpse of what the AR fight in the popcorn bucket would look like, but her TikTok video offered a glimpse of the AR fight between two tiny fighters.

“Finish the popcorn and unleash the inner battle,” says the announcer as he reveals what awaits at the bottom of the bucket: a QR code that fans can scan “to bring the Colosseum to life. “

TMZ reports that the buckets will be available at Cinemark locations, although Paramount Pictures YouTube says they will also be available at “other participating theater locations,” although no specific theater chains were mentioned.

Fans were pretty stunned by the new popcorn bucket, although others thought it was a harbinger of doom for the film itself.
