Has your ballot for the 2024 election been received? Ohio voters can check here

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Did you vote early and want to see if your vote was processed?

You can track your absentee ballot on the Ohio Secretary of State website. If you voted by mail or in person before Election Day, you can check the status of your ballot.

When will we know the results of the presidential election?

Voters can visit VoteOhio.gov and click on the “Track Your Mail-in Ballot” option. This will display a list or map of counties that will redirect you to your specific county's Board of Elections website. Then enter your name to view the status.

Each BOE website will indicate the type of vote — mailed or in person — as well as the day it was processed and received.

The ballots themselves will not be counted and included in the results until polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 5th. Shortly after polls close, counties will begin counting and publishing these early voting results and then Election Day results, which WDTN will track on our website.

While the final results of the presidential election may not be available on election night, some changes since last time could result in the election being called earlier than in 2020, when it took nearly five days for major news outlets to release forecasts. These include fewer expected mail-in ballots and new policies in some states to begin processing ballots before Election Day, according to Hill.

If you did not vote by mail, polls will be open November 5th from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Click here to find your voting location.
