Here's how to watch and stream Week 9 of the 2024-2025 NFL season live online and free without cable: Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN

It may be hard to believe, but the 2024-2025 NFL season is already halfway over. Week nine marks the halfway point of the regular season (though of course the postseason will last well into next February). While it may be a little early to start compiling lists of potential playoff games, a few things are coming into focus.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated with a 1.5 game lead in the AFC and the Detroit Lions are almost as dominant in the NFC. Otherwise it's still a big mistake.

No team is technically eliminated from the postseason yet, but it would take the unlikeliest of miracles for the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans or Carolina Panthers to advance past Week 18.

Nonetheless, the New York Jets managed to pull out a win on Thursday night – and this weekend is full of rivalry games with several teams expected to fight harder than usual.

Are you planning to watch? There are various options for this. Here's everything you need to know about this week's games.

How can I watch NFL games for free even if I'm not in the market?

The best way to watch any type of network programming on a big screen for free is with a good HD antenna. To ensure you get the most reliable signal, be sure to test the antenna in several locations around your home.

Can I stream 2024 NFL games live online if I don't have a cable subscription?

Yes – and you have several options.

Paramount+

CBS' streaming service gives you a one-week free trial, followed by a monthly fee of $8 or $13. (An annual plan is currently just $30.)

peacock

NBC's streaming service gives you access to multiple games, including all upcoming Sunday night games. The monthly fee is $8 to $14 – and the service recently eliminated the free trial. (The free version of Peacock does not include live sports.)

Disney+

Disney's bundle of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you'll have to pay $17 per month for all three combined (or $30 per month if you don't see any ads on Hulu).

Adding live TV to the package increases the price to $77 per month ($90 without ads).

Hulu with live TV

The free trial of this service lasts three days. After that, it will cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After a free trial, you can expect to pay monthly fees of $73.

Sling TV

Dish Network's Sling's lower “Orange” plan will set you back $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive “Blue” plan increases the cost to $55 per month. Unfortunately, the seven-day free trial has disappeared.

DirecTV stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service costs $80 per month and up after the free trial. (The package that includes NFL Network costs $99 per month.)

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service operates broadcast networks in most markets. There's a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly fees of $80 and up depending on the channels you choose.

Can I watch NFL games on Amazon?

Not today. However, Amazon is once again home to Thursday Night Football, with the exception of Thanksgiving (although it does air a game on Black Friday). The first matchup on Amazon this year will be the Cincinnati Bengals game against the Baltimore Ravens on November 7th.

Does the NFL offer viewing packages to watch the games I want?

Three of them.

NFL app

The NFL app allows you to stream games broadcast locally in your market on Sundays. If you want to see an out-of-market game, you have two options.

NFL+

Watch local and out-of-market games live and (with the premium subscription) replays. Expect to pay a fee of $50 per season. ($100 for the reward.)

NFL Sunday Ticket

YouTube is once again the home of this channel. Pricing this year starts at $73 per month for Sunday Ticket and YouTubeTV or $449 for Sunday Ticket only (covering all out-of-stock games this season).

Upcoming event:

Meet business's brightest minds and boldest leaders at the Fortune Global Forum, November 11th and 12th in New York City. Inspiring sessions and intimate discussions include Fortune 500 CEOs, former cabinet members and global ambassadors, as well as seven-time world champion Tom Brady.
