Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager are Jack and Rose of the Titanic on Halloween

The Today The show gave viewers a big surprise this Halloween.

In honor of the spooky season holiday on Thursday, October 31, the NBC morning show hosts will once again don epic group costumes and celebrate their favorite movie characters with a trip back to Blockbuster for must-see movies from the '80s, '90s and early days Rent films from the 2000s.

Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer, Jenna Bush Hager, Willie Geist, Laura Jarrett and Peter Alexander all took part in the tradition this year, dressing up as stars of Austin Powers, Moderator, Beetlejuice, Beverly Hills police officer, Ms. Doubtfire and more.

There were also surprises along the way, like when Luke Wilson reprized his role Legally blonde for a sweet tribute alongside Guthrie's Elle Woods.

And Kotb, in her last one Today Halloween, she said Today with Hoda and Jenna Co-host who would “never let go” of her as Jack and Rose Titanic.

The group looked into the topic last year The Kelly Clarkson Showis the signature “Kellyoke” segment by dressing up as some of the most famous music artists in history, including Taylor Swift, Lionel Richie, Pink, Neil Diamond, MC Hammer, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Sonny and Cher.

“We've spent the last 365 days dreaming up our biggest reveal ever,” Melvin teased at the start of Thursday's show.

This year marks the 30th anniversary TodayHalloween celebrations. The highly anticipated event began in 1994 following the opening of NBC's Studio 1A and the iconic outdoor plaza. Fresh, fun and fabulous looks have emerged over the years and fans are eagerly awaiting the reveal of the presenter's mystery costumes.
