How are presidential candidates Trump and Harris spending Election Day?

As millions of voters cast their ballots in the close 2024 presidential election on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump will join in, while Vice President Kamala Harris has already sent out her mail-in ballot.

The exceptionally close race has razor-thin margins in the seven key battleground states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina. Together, these states have 93 Electoral College votes, with Pennsylvania having the most votes with 19. They could tip the election in favor of either candidate in the race for the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win.

Some forecasters have predicted a victory for Trump, while others believe Harris is more likely to win the presidency.

As of Monday morning, 538 forecasts predict Trump will win the election 53 times out of 100, with Harris winning 47 times, while Nate Silver's forecast at the Silver Bulletin says Harris will have a slight lead over Trump.

Here's what we know about the presidential candidates' plans for Election Day.

Where are Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on the final day of the campaign?

On the final day of her campaign, Harris wants to win over more voters in Pennsylvania by making several stops in the hotly contested state.

She will begin her series of rallies in Scranton, Pennsylvania, President Joe Biden's hometown. She will then give a speech in Allentown.

She will also stop by a Puerto Rican restaurant in Reading with Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, according to NPR. Harris will wrap up the state with rallies in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Pop star Katy Perry is expected to perform at the Pittsburgh rally and Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga and DJ Cassidy are set to headline her Philadelphia rally.

Trump's team is also targeting swing states, as several of his coordinated stops target voters in those areas.

His first stop on the final day of his campaign is in Raleigh, North Carolina at 10 a.m

The former president will then travel to Reading, Pennsylvania for a rally and then travel to Pittsburgh in the southern part of the state for a rally at 6 p.m. He will wrap up his day in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a rally at 10:30 p.m

Where will the candidates be on election day?

Harris will be in Washington, DC

Harris, who is from California, voted by mail. Her home state, which has 54 votes in the Electoral College, is heavily favored to vote blue this year, as it has been for the past 36 years.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, cast his vote in person in his state during early voting. President Joe Biden also voted in person in his home state of Delaware last week.

According to NPR, Harris will host a wake party at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, DC. The District of Columbia is expected to support the Democratic candidate with its three electoral votes, as it does in every presidential election.

Trump will be in Florida

Although Trump previously said he would vote early, he will vote in Florida on Election Day. This election cycle, he has urged Americans to vote early, even as he continues to make comments that cast doubt on the electoral process.

Florida has 30 electoral votes and has a swing state electoral history, with President Barack Obama winning the state twice and Trump winning it again in 2016 and 2020. Trump is expected to win in the state again this year.

Last week, Trump's campaign announced it would host an election watch party at the Palm Beach Convention Center, not the former president's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
