Ilona Maher has the most realistic reaction to a possible lead role in “The Bachelorette”

Olympic athlete Ilona Maher is currently competing in the 33rd relay Dancing with the starsbut could take on a leading role The Bachelorette possibly be in their future?

The 28-year-old Vermont native recently opened up Good morning America Although excited by the prospect of being able to choose from more than 25 potential applicants, Maher replied, “I don't know if I could do it,” adding that it might be “too much.”

Meanwhile, Maher's dance partner, professional ballroom dancer Alan Bersten, agreed that while dating 30 men might be difficult, he fully believes the cover model for SI Swimsuit's September digital issue could be up to the task. “I’m going to take this on… I’m going to do this for America,” Maher continued to joke. “I’ll date 30 men for America if that’s what you really want to see.”

Later in the interview, Maher listed the qualities she looks for in a potential applicant. Someone who is “very proud” of her, is friendly, understands Maher’s humor and is “ready to eat” is the Olympic bronze medalist’s ideal partner.

“You just described a lot of things about me,” Bersten pointed out, eliciting a playful request from Maher: “Please stop talking.”

Fans were quick to chime in on the exchange in the comments section, as many viewers posted a potential romance between Maher and Bersten.

“Alan is like um, hello. Hello. I’m here 🫠,” one person remarked.

“Alan just said what we were all thinking 😂,” someone else added.

“If Ilona and Alan get married, I hope their wedding cake is Ilona with Alan on her shoulder,” another user joked.

“ALAN is just the thing girl and he even knows he has those qualities,” said another fan.

While we wait for Maher's future when it comes to this The Bachelorettewe can't wait to see her and Bersten perform DWTS on Tuesday, November 12th. Celebrating its 500th episode, the series includes an “Instant Dance Challenge” for the remaining contestants, who have five minutes to choreograph a dance before performing it live.

Additionally, each couple will perform a dance inspired by a memorable performance from a previous season. Maher and Bersten are scheduled to perform to Pharrell Williams' “Chuck Berry,” in which they will perform a quickstep inspired by Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold's 2017 performance.
