When do the Michigan Wolverines play today?

A great week of games across Power Four college football began Friday night as Maryland hosted Northwestern in a Big Ten showdown and No. 17 Utah traveled to Arizona State for a late-night kickoff.

Some of the best games of the season are taking place this week, with the Red River Rivalry between No. 1 Texas and No. 16 Oklahoma taking place in Dallas, USC hosting No. 5 Penn State, No. 8 Ole Miss going against No. 10 LSU and Last but not least, of course, is No. 2 Ohio State, which travels to Eugene to take on the No. 3 Oregon Ducks.

It should be a great game week, plus the Detroit Tigers have a win-or-go-home game against the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the ALDS.

The Michigan Wolverines, on the other hand, are not playing this week, but there should be plenty of sports on the bye week to fill the void.

The Michigan State Spartans will also have a bye week, a rare example of the two teams having equal weeks off.

Here's a quick look at the Wolverines in Week 7.

Is Michigan playing football today?

No. Sherrone Moore's squad is 4-2 at the halfway point of the season and enters the bye week looking for a fresh start after a tough loss on the road to Washington in a national championship rematch. The Wolverines have changed quarterbacks since the win over Arkansas State in Week 4, first with former backup Davis Warren, then with Alex Orji when Warren showed a turnover problem, and most recently with 25-year-old veteran QB Jack Tuttle in the middle of the loss against Washington. Figuring out the situation under center is the Wolverines' top priority, but as our man Tony Garcia wrote this week, Michigan has other things to figure out, too. The good news for the Wolverines is that they still only have one loss in conference play. If they turn things around and start playing better football, they can still do some damage this season as No. 3 Oregon and No. 2 Ohio State remain on the schedule.
