Is Tee Higgins playing today? (Injury update, impact of prop bets for Eagles vs. Beng

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was a late addition to the injury report this week with a quadriceps complaint and is a real game-changer on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, there is “pessimism” about Higgins and his chances of playing in this match. Higgins has already missed two games earlier this season with a hamstring injury.

If Higgins sits, that should mean a huge workload for No. 1 receiver Ja'Marr Chase on Sunday.

Higgins has been injury-prone throughout his career and being placed on the injury report so late in the week does not bode well for his status. Bettors and fantasy owners should consider looking for other options as Higgins may have limited options even if he plays in Week 8.

Here's how I would bet on Chase against Philly in the prop market.

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

In the first two weeks of the season without Higgins, Chase had just 10 total catches for 97 yards. He's been targeted 11 times in that span, and obviously it's easier to double Chase when Higgins isn't playing.

Since Higgins' return, Chase is averaging 5.8 receptions for 104.6 yards per game while scoring six touchdowns.

I think Chase's play here is the under of his receptions base, as Higgins missing this game would lead to more attention on him defensively. Even with Higgins playing, Chase only has one game — a 10-catch performance against Baltimore — in which he managed 6.5 receptions this season.

While the Bengals will still try to get him the ball, that prop might be a bit high in Week 8.
