It's time for basketball: Spurs vs. Trail Blazers

Last night wasn't particularly good for the Silver and Black as the Houston Rockets beat the Spurs 127-100 at the Toyota Center in a game that was never close. The Spurs played their worst game of the season, and although there were some impressive moments from Victor Wembanya, it was a loss for San Antonio. They lacked the energy and defensive intensity of Jeremy Sochan, and the faster Rockets dominated the game on both ends of the court. I could say more, but I'm running out of ways to say that Spurs were outclassed by a better team last night and had to go out early.

Tonight they face the Portland Trail Blazers, who, along with the Utah Jazz, are one of the worst teams in the Western Conference. I would say this looks like a win for the Spurs, but the Blazers have the same record as the Spurs and a residual advantage, so it won't be easy for the undermanned home team. They just have to play better than last night, and while that seems inevitable, sometimes a stinker follows a stinker. Let's hope that doesn't happen tonight.
