Jason Kelce mans a fan's phone over homophobic slurs

Former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce was involved in an incident with an unruly fan who used homophobic slurs to describe his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Jason Kelce was in Pennsylvania for the Big Ten showdown between Ohio State and Penn State on Saturday and made an appearance on ESPN's “College GameDay” before the Buckeyes' 20-13 win.

Social media footage showed Kelce carrying a case of beer as he walked through a crowd near Beaver Stadium. Several fans asked Kelce for selfies and fist bumps before one fan started harassing Kelce. The male fan, dressed in a Penn State hoodie, unleashed anti-LGTBQ insults toward Kelce's family as he stalked the seven-time Pro Bowler and recorded: “Hey Kelce! How does it feel that your brother is an (expletive) because he dates Taylor Swift?”

In response, Kelce turned around, grabbed the fan's phone and stuck it into the ground before picking up the phone and walking away. Another video shared on social media showed the unruly fan chasing Kelce and asking for his phone – “Give me my phone” – before Kelce replied: “Now who's the (expletive)?”

It's not clear what happened next, but Kelce may discuss the altercation on his podcast “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother Travis Kelce.

Earlier in the day, Kelce competed in Pat McAfee's $250,000 kicking contest on College Gameday. Kelce was criticized by McAfee for previous criticism of kickers – “I didn’t say I hated kickers. There are just other things I appreciate more about the game,” joked Kelce – and ultimately had to put his words into action.

Turns out pedaling is actually hard. Kelce knocked down both 33-yard attempts in his Timberlands shoes: “I’m bad at kicking.”

During the kicking attempts, McAfee informed Kelce that he was “going to your future sister-in-law’s concert in Indianapolis tomorrow night. I feel like I'm 22.” Kelce shouted, “You're leaving? Get ready, brother.”
